Aaran started his studies in 1997 through the New Zealand School of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine.
He completed a full-time four year course of training in Traditional Chinese Medicine, Acupuncture, and Chinese physical therapy (Tuina – Qi Gong).
Upon graduation, Aaran travelled to Shanghai in Mainland China and completed advanced certification in both Acupuncture and Tuina through the Yue Yang Hospital of Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine Sciences. Aaran completed a total of two years study and work in this Shanghai hospital.
Six years ago, Aaran joined the team who provide multidisciplinary services to Eastern Bay Hospice. He still works there part-time.
This work encompasses acupuncture and mind & body medicine.
